‘Overpower your stress through yoga, pranayam’

A mental health awareness session for the students was organised at the DAV Public School, Kalinga Nagar.

Organised by the Alumni Association of the school to mark the silverjubilee year, Professor of Psychiatry, IMS and Sum Hospital Dr Suvendu Narayan Mishra briefed the students regarding good mental health through the topic, “Raising the Resilience: Is it feasible?”.

He spoke about how stress has become a big part of our lives, and howto fix it. Students face both parental and academic stress. Hesuggested that instead of running away from difficult situations, onemust face it with courage, and gave tips on how to handle academicpressure and internet addiction and also urged to win the stress bygoing with it through yoga and pranayam.

Presiding over the session, Principal of the school Bipin Kumar Sahooadvised the student to maintain a good mental health in order to havenew innovations. Member of the Alumni Association Ashirbad Mohanty, secretary Debashrita Panda and assistant secretary Satabdi Palai among others coordinated the event.
